Sovereign Medicine Cabinet - Fall Workbook

Fall · The Harvest Turn

A self paced workbook for building your own medicine, one plant at a time, in the new old way forward.

There is an older way of tending yourself, and it does not require permission. It asks only that you learn a few plants well, get your hands into the work, and begin trusting what you notice.

This is a workbook for the season the earth pulls inward. Eight plants of the fall, met one at a time, from who they are through how to honor them. Not a course to scroll through once and forget. A companion to open slowly, across the whole turning of the year.

Every plant speaks for itself here. Alongside the constituents, the growing, the gathering, and the cautions, each entry carries a message in that plant’s own voice, because the relationship matters as much as the information.

What is inside, across 101 pages

• The foundations. Preparation basics, a supply kit, and honorable harvesting, the way of approaching that matters more than any technique.

• Eight plants of the Harvest Turn. Echinacea, Hawthorn, Elderberry, Valerian, Burdock, Elecampane, Marshmallow, and Rosehips, each given a full introduction and a transmission in their own voice.

• Three guided meditations. Written journeys to meet the spirit of Burdock and Hawthorn, plus one you can use with any plant that calls you.

• Six preparations. A decoction, a tea blend, an oxymel, a tincture, a glycerite, and a hair rinse, each teaching a different method by hand.

• Forty journal pages. Five for every plant, with room to sketch and a page left entirely open. This is where the book becomes yours.

• A checklist for each plant. Go dig a root. Taste a berry raw. Sit with the spirit. Check them off as the season goes.
